The plaintiff, Donna Moline, sued the defendant, Harshavadan Vyas, M.D., alleging medical malpractice. One week before trial, the plaintiff voluntarily dismissed her suit, and the circuit court awarded costs to the defendant for videographer, stenographer, and professional fees associated with an evidence deposition of an out-of-state treating physician.
