John Robert Sawyer, the appellant 'herein, was indicted in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska wherein he was charged in four counts with violations of the Federal Bank Robbery Act, 18 U.S.C.A. § 2113. 'Sawyer entered pleas of guilty to Counts 1 and 3 of the indictment. On March '23, 1962, he was sentenced by the District Court to a period of twenty years on Count 1 and a period of ten years on Count 3, such sentences to run consecutively and not concurrently.
