Defendant was indicted on August 18, 1987 for murder in the second degree (evincing a depraved indifference to human life), manslaughter in the second degree, vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, two counts of vehicular assault in the second degree, two counts of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, as a felony, and reckless driving.
