Eight retired railroad workers, who have sued their former employer under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (“FELA”) for pulmonary damage allegedly caused by negligent exposure to coal dust and diesel fumes, have filed a motion seeking to consolidate these actions for a joint trial under Pa.R.C.P. 213(a). Plaintiffs seek to recover noneconomic damages *178under the same federal statute for pneumoconiosis allegedly attributable to occupational dust exposure and will present, and oppose, expert testimony from the same two medical witnesses.
