After a jury trial in a District Court, the defendants were convicted of trespassing, in violation of G. L. c. 266, § 120, and each was fined $50.2 The fines *583were suspended pending appeal. We took the cases on our own motion. We affirm the judgments of conviction.

The facts are as follows. At 7:30 a.m., on December 21, 1981, approximately thirty people gathered in a public park across the street from the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc.
