Douglas S. Grimes appeals his conviction of the possession and sale of marijuana in violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. Detective Fred Marchmand of the Decatur Police Department received information from a confidential informant, who had given him reliable information in the past, that a drug sale would occur in the parking lot of the Kroger store on Church Street in Decatur on the evening of March 16.
