Appellate Court of Illinois

Decided December 9, 1887PublishedCited by 2 opinions

Appeal from the Circuit Court of Woodford County; the Hon. T. M. Shaw, Judge, presiding.

1Opinion of the CourtLacey, J.

This suit was brought by appellees originally before a Justice of the Peace, to recover of appellant the price, §77.50, of a two-horse, double-seated buggy, sold by the appellees, dealers in such articles, to the husband of the appellant in 1882. The suit was appealed to the Circuit Court and there again tried and judgment rendered against appellant for the amount of the claim, from which judgment this appeal is taken. The husband, to whom the buggy was sold, died before the appellant was sued, and his estate was administered upon by appellant and she took the buggy as a part of her award.
