A unanimous jury found Defendant Christopher Weston guilty as charged of one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1, and one count of attempted second degree murder, in violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and La. R.S. 14:30.1. The state invoked the firearm sentencing provisions of La. C. Cr.
