Plaintiff-Appellant John Reiter appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Gorenstein, M.J.) limiting attorneys’ fees under Rule 68.1 The award *226followed a trial on a claim of retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. Reiter sued Defendant-Appellee MTA New York City Transit Authority (“NYCTA”) for monetary and equitable relief, principally seeking compensatory damages plus restoration to the job from which he had been demoted.
