Slaughter filed his petition in this court against J. J. Terrell as Commissioner of the General Land Office and C. J. Adair, praying for a writ of mandamus directed to the said Terrell commanded him to reinstate upon the records of his office the sale heretofore made to relator of section number 6, block 36, township 1 south, certificate number 2712, Texas & Pacific Railway Company surveys in Martin County, Texas.
