This appeal arises under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”), 20 U.S.C. § 1400-1482. It concerns the request by the parents of T.P., a child with autism and speech and language disabilities, that their son’s school district pay for an independent educational evaluation (“IEE”) of T.P. to determine his educational needs. T.P.’s parents requested this IEE because, they claimed, the evaluation the district conducted more than two years prior was deficient.
