INGERSOLL this day presented a petition from John Doyle, Michael Doran, and Augustine Fagan, who were stated to be a committee in behalf of a large majority'of the members of the religious society of Homan Catholics, inhabiting the city and county of Philadelphia, and belonging to the congregation worshipping at the church of St. Mary, praying the Court for a rule to shew cause why a mandamus should not issue, directed to the defendants, commanding them to affix the common seal of the corporation to certain alterations and amendments of their charter, which accompanied the petition.

A motion has been made for- a rule to shew cause why a mandamus should not be issued, directed to the “Trustees of the Roman Catholic Society worshipping at the churh of St. Mary's,” commanding them to affix the coiiimon seal of the corporation to certain alterations and amendments of the charter of the said corporation.
