RULING ON PLAINTIFFS’ MOTION TO TESTIFY IN FICTITIOUS NAMES AND IN CHAMBERS

On August 15, 1988, plaintiffs commenced this action with respect to the various policies of the Connecticut Department of Corrections regarding inmates who are *453infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (“HIV”)1 that same day, Judge Cabranes granted plaintiffs’ motion for permission to prosecute suit in fictitious names.2
