This is an appeal from an order of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, allowing Max Kohner, Inc. (Kohner) the sum of $659.29 as a preferred claim.

Although the appellant suggests that there are two questions to be answered, they may conveniently be combined into one, and stated as follows: If the personalty of a debtor be transferred to a trustee under a deed of trust for the benefit of creditors, does a judgment creditor, who has had a writ of fieri facias delivered to the sheriff prior to the assumption of jurisdiction over the debtor’s estate by the court, have a valid lien and a priority…
