The pleadings in this case show, that an original bill of complaint was filed against the defendants on the 13th of July, 1872, for an infringement of the original patent; and that an extension of the same having been obtained, pending the suit, on application to the commissioner of patents, the supplemental bill was filed February 5, 1874, setting forth the fact.
