DIETRICH, District Judge.

Appellee fell and was severely injured while being carried as a passenger on appellant’s vessel Suquamish, which was engaged in the carriage of passengers on Puget Sound. To recover damages she brought an action in a state court, whereupon the defendant therein, appellant here, brought this proceeding in limitation of its liability, under the provisions of section 4283, R.
