Steve Hounchell was indicted at a special term of the Clay circuit court on the 6th day of April, 1937, charged with the offense of unlawfully, willfully, knowingly, and intentionally carrying concealed upon or about his person a deadly weapon, other than an ordinary pocket knife, to wit, a pistol, contrary to the statute made and provided in such cases. On the 14th day of the same term of court he was tried and convicted by a jury and his punishment fixed at a fine of $50 and 10 days in jail. It was the judgment of the court that the Commonwealth…
