Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Duskas, J.) ordering, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property, entered June 3, 1988 in Franklin County, upon a decision of the court, without a jury.

Plaintiff and defendant were married on December 23, 1961. They have two children both now emancipated. Cross judgments of divorce were granted to the parties on June 3, 1988 on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment, their marital property was distributed and plaintiff was awarded mainte*828nance in the amount of $325 per month for five years.
