In this proceeding, the trial court considered the competing adoption petitions of a black child’s natural grandparents and her white foster parents. The trial court found that, where the totality of other factors were in equipoise,1 the interests of the child, D.G., would more likely be better served by an intraracial adoption than by an interracial one. This factual conclusion was more than adequately supported by the unusually thorough testimony addressed to the subject.
