Sterling C. The petitioner claims to have been empresario of the colony, known by the name of the Nashville or Robertson’s colony, and gives a historical narration of the contract from its inception in 1825, in the name of Robert Leftwitch, its subsequent transfer to the Nashville company in 1827, to its prolongation for four years in 1831, in the name of the petitioner, as is alleged.

The contract was originally for six years, and expired by its own limitation in April, 1831.
