Consolidated Freightways (Consolidated) and the Illinois Insuranee Guaranty Fund (Guaranty Fund) appeal from an order of the circuit court of Cook County which confirmed a decision of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (Commission) awarding the claimant, Stanley Piech, certain benefits pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act (Act) (820 ILCS 305/1 et seq. (West 2000)).
