This proceeding was instituted by the appellant School District on June 3, 1952, pursuant to Section 25-101 et seq. of the 1952 Code of Laws of South Carolina, to acquire through condemnation a 16)4 acre tract of land owned by the respondents. The matter was referred on September 24, 1955 to the Honorable O. T. Wallace, as Special Master, for the purpose of determining the sum which the appellant should pay as compensation for the taking of the property and to ascertain the persons to whom such compensation should be paid.
