I write this dissenting opinion not to address the concurring opinion of Justice Palmer, who continues to believe that State v. Santiago, 318 Conn. 1 , 122 A.3d 1 (2015), was rightly decided. 1 I have already addressed the merits of Santiago, or rather, the lack thereof, in my dissenting opinion in that case.
