BLATOHFORD, District Judge.
This is a libel, filed by the owners of the steamboat Fairfield, against the steam ferry-boat America, to recover for the damages caused to the Fairfield by a collision, which took place between her and the America, on the 13th of December, 1867, [1868,] at about five o’clock in the afternoon, in the East river, between New York and Brooklyn, a short distance below the Brooklyn slip of the Fulton ferry.
