This case is here upon the appeal of the defendant William H. Miller from a decree for plaintiff for $2,100.25. The sworn bill of complaint was filed July 18, 1917, to enforce a mechanic’s lien against the leasehold interest of defendant Miller in the premises described in the bill of complaint. The lien claim arises under the following circumstances: The defendant Harriet E. Whitbeck is the owner, and defendant Miller has a leasehold interest in said premises, which interest commenced May 1, 1911, and expires May 1, 1931.
