Appellant William T. Talcott, Jr., an attorney, purchased a professional liability insurance policy from appellee National Union Fire Insurance Company for the period extending from April 28,1984, through April 28, 1985. 1 The policy specifically provided that all claims brought against the insured had to be reported during the policy period in which the claim was first made.
