On evidence tending to prove eight sales of heroin to an undercover police officer, appellant has been convicted of distributing that drug. 1 At trial, he objected to introduction of the allegedly-sold packets of heroin into evidence on the ground that the Government had failed to establish a sufficiently-protective chain of custody extending from the charged incidents to the points at which the contents of the packets were subjected to chemical analysis.
