OPINION

YOUNG, Justice.

This appeal arises from a railroad crossing collision case. Appellees Jimmy Quinn and Rudolph Garrett are the driver and passenger, respectively, of an automobile which collided with the rear end of a freight train owned by appellant, Southern Pacific Transportation Company and operated by conductor, E. L. Hanna. The case was submitted to a jury, which found that appellees had no statutory duty to stop at the crossing and that their actions were not negligent under common-law negligence standards.
