OPINION AND ORDER
MOORE, Judge.
A.C., a female child, appeals the order of the Jessamine Family Court finding her in contempt of court and ordering her to be *321detained until placed in a home by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (Cabinet), Department for Community Based Services (DCBS), but for no more than thirty days. The Commonwealth of Kentucky moves to dismiss the appeal on the basis that it is moot because A.C. has been released from the DCBS’s commitment.
