NEIGHBORS, Justice.

The defendant appeals the judgment of the trial court denying him good-time credits for the period of his presentence confinement. We reverse and remand with directions.

On or about July 3, 1980, the defendant was arrested and charged with first-degree murder committed on that date. 1 Bail was set at $150,000. On October 3, 1980, the trial court granted the defendant’s motion to reduce bail. The defendant was released on October 8, 1980, upon posting a surety bond in the amount of $70,000.
