On and prior to March 13, 1935, the petitioner-appellant owned property facing about 218 feet on East One Hundred and Second street in the borough of Manhattan and bounded on the east by the Harlem river. Four buildings were located generally on the outside boundaries of the plot and on the interior, between the buildings, was an open space. The property was used for more than thirty years for stabling horses, at times as many as seventy-five, and for a junk and stable yard.
