Reports of the death of Matter of Allen, 725 F.2d 290 (5th Cir.1984), are premature. See In re Thompson, 59 B.R. 690 (Bankr.W.D.Tex.1986). But cf. In re Wolfe, 51 B.R. 900 (Bankr.W.D.Tex.1985). In this case, which we find indistinguishable from Allen and its predecessor Matter of In re McManus, 681 F.2d 353 (5th Cir.1982), we are required to conclude that Texas debtors may not use 11 U.S.C. § 522(f) to avoid a non-possessory, non-purchase money, nonjudicial lien executed in favor of Farmers Home Administration in March 1979.1
