This case involves the forfeiture of a 1978 Dodge Magnum automobile, which was used in the conveyance of a controlled substance by claimant Lon E. Liebergen, who owned the vehicle. The State of Iowa appeals from the district court’s ruling that the forfeiture was ineffective against Gerald N. Liebergen, who claimed a security interest in the vehicle.
