Zeta Simms filed a claim for unemployment benefits under the Missouri Employment Security Law [Ch. 288 RSMo] 1 (“the Act”), based upon services performed by her, for pay, for Edward Lowe Industries, Inc. (“Lowe”). The Labor and Industrial Relations Commission of Missouri determined that Simms was entitled to a wage credit in the amount of $145 for the quarter ending September 30, 1989. The Commission found that the services which Simms performed for Lowe were “employment” subject to the Act, and rejected Lowe’s contention that Simms was an independent contractor and…
