Reversing.

Thomas A. Berryman died testate, a resident of Owen County, in the year 1875, the owner of a considerable estate. He left surviving him an only child, Mrs. Ann M. Adams. She had three children — two boys, the oldest of whom was then about 16, and a daughter, who was, married. Among other things the decedent owned a valuable farm of 568 acres in *792Owen county, which is the subject of this controversy. After his death Mrs. Adams and her two sons mortgaged the farm about the year 1886 to the Mutual Life Insurance Company of Kentucky to secure a debt of…
