This is an extraordinary and important case. It is extraordinary, on account of many matters appearing in its history, and testimony; important because of the large amount of money in controversy; and the questions of law involved in its decision. The attention of the court was occupied, many days in the trial; and counsel have exhausted the resources of great professional ability in the presentation of the law, and evidence.
