DBUMMOND, Circuit Judge.

We have spent several days in examining the testimony concerning the interference by parties who have been brought before the court with the property in its custody. Four railroads, under the orders of the court, were placed in the possession of receivers. They became officers of the court, whose duty it was to protect the property' and operate the roads under the direction and order of the court.
