Non-party Sharon Churcher (“Church-er”), a professional journalist, has moved under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 45 to quash the subpoena served upon her by Defendant Ghislaine Maxwell (“Maxwell” or the “Defendant”) to testify at a deposition in this civil action and to produce documents (the “Subpoena”) relying upon the New York Reporters Shield Law, N.Y. Civ. Rights Law § 79-h (“Section 79-h”). Upon the conclusions set forth below, the motion of Churcher is granted, and the Subpoena is quashed.
