Plaintiff brings certiorari to review an order of the department of labor and industry denying compensation as claimed. He was injured in April, 1926. September 23, 1926, he gave notice to the Chevrolet Motor Company of total loss of his left eye, claimed to have been caused by complication and infection from grindings of emery lodged therein. The case was heard before a deputy commissioner of the department of labor and industry and an award made February 5, 1927, in accordance with plaintiff's claim.
