In the divorce action, the husband (divorce plaintiff) seeks bifurcation of his claim for divorce from the economic claims of the wife (divorce defendant) set forth in her counterclaim, which the wife opposes. In the domestic action, the wife (domestic plaintiff) seeks a support order for maintenance for herself only, which the husband (domestic defendant) resists.
