On February 6tb, 1924, tbe complainant, Emma Johnson, then an unmarried woman, made complaint that the defendant, Fury, was the father of a bastard child, born to her on January 10, 1924, and prayed issuance of a warrant for the arrest of the defendant that he might answer to the charge. A warrant was issued and the defendant arrested. The defendant made written answer denying the paternity of the child, if one had been born. After examination he was held for trial in the district court before a jury. On trial the defendant was found to be the father of the child and judgment was entered…
