I join the dissent of Justice Morgan and would affirm the judgments based upon the general jury verdicts, as follows: Plaintiff Earl Lovell, $35,000.00; Plaintiff Blanche Lovell, $1,877.84; and Plaintiff Roger Lovell, $79,025.00. One of the oldest and most cardinal rules of appellate review in this state, going back to the days of the Dakota Territory, is simply this: We review the evidence in the light most favorable to the prevailing party and resolve conflicting evidence in favor of the verdict.
