VAN der VOORT, Judge:

This is an action in trespass for medical malpractice brought by the mother and natural guardian of Edwin J. pradel, Jr., a minor, on his behalf, and by his father and mother in their own right. A jury returned verdicts of $700,000 for the guardian of the minor boy and $25,000 for the parents. After a hearing on post-trial motions, the trial court refused to grant a new trial or to reduce the $700,000 verdict. However, it conditioned the denial of a new trial on the $25,000 verdict on its reduction to $10,000 by the filing of an appropriate remittitur. The remittitur was…
