This action is against the sheriff and his deputies for selling in October, 1901, certain personal property in the possession of John B. Keeler upon an execution duly issued against him in favor of one Marsh. Keeler and one Knickerbocker, as copartners, were carrying on a livery business, and owned the horses, carriages and property used in connection therewith.
