OPINION

KOCH, Judge.

This appeal involves the validity of a negotiated termination of an employment contract. The discharged employee sued his former employers in the Chancery Court for Davidson County seeking to set aside the release on the grounds of economic duress and to enforce his employment contract’s golden parachute clause. The trial court granted the employers’ motions for summary judgment and dismissed the employee’s suit because he had failed to tender the money he had received for executing the release.
