This case is before us pursuant to a Resolution of the House of Representatives, which is quoted in our Finding 3.
The plaintiff sues to recover back salary for a period intervening between his dismissal and his reinstatement as a classified Civil Service employee in the General Accounting Office. He had, on October 6, 1946, been employed for some years as an Investigator, and was in Grade CAF 11 with an annual salary of $5,152.80.
