This appeal challenges a Louisiana trial judge’s refusal to accord full faith and credit to a judgment rendered by a Texas court. We reverse.

BACKGROUND

On August 1, 2000, Ronald Summers, in his capacity as executor of the estate of Elmer Alvis Summers, filed an ex parte *48petition for enforcement of a foreign judgment in the 22nd Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Tammany.
