GILMAN, Circuit Judge.

Donald Gardner pled guilty to charges of possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The district court sentenced him to 210 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. On appeal, Gardner argues that his guilty plea should be set aside because it was not made knowingly and voluntarily and because he was denied the effective assistance of counsel.
