*732This is an appeal from two decrees of the Hustings Court, Part Two, of the city of Richmond, Virginia, entered respectively November 5, 1917, and December 12, 1923, and adjudicating the principles of a suit in equity for the rescission of a written contract wherein the heirs at law of R. C. Broaddus were complainants, and Jennie L. Broaddus, his widow and executrix and in her own right, was defendant.
The sanctity and obligation of contracts are regarded so essential to the public welfare, that where they are freely and voluntarily made by persons sui juris the impairment of their obligation…
