Maternal grandmother (grandmother) obtained a judgment of adoption of her grandson, A. G., displacing birth mother (mother) as A. G.’s parent. Mother moved to vacate the adoption judgment on the ground that she had not received notice of the adoption proceeding and that the order authorizing notice by publication was obtained through fraud and misrepresentation. In response, grandmother moved to dismiss mother’s motion. The trial court allowed grandmother’s motion to dismiss mother’s motion to vacate the adoption judgment.
